The delivery of voice and data services over wireless networks is now commonplace.

Wireless services and technology are capable of delivering the same security, reliability and performance to that delivered via wireline technologies.

• the benefits of delivering business and corporate wireless network services in the 3.5 GHz and apparatus licensed spectrum, and

• the advantages over traditional wireline services such as Frame-relay, ISDN, Leased Lines, Single-pair High-speed Digital Subscriber Line (SHDSL) and Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL).

By delivering services through the air a number of advantages are realised and additional applications can be deployed including redundancy services and the ability to quickly upgrade bandwidth on already deployed services.

For reliable and consistent delivery of wireless services the radio spectrum used needs to be designed, managed and maintained. This spectrum management can only be performed using either Private or Apparatus licensed spectrum. The use of Class Licensed (public) spectrum can be deployed reliably in regional areas where spectrum utilisation is low, but is increasingly inappropriate for metropolitan deployment due to interfering links competing with each other for the available spectrum.

Traffic prioritisation techniques using Quality of Service provide the ability to use real-time applications such as Voice and Video across a single data service.

VPN services provide connectivity between offices so that data, voice and video can be shared among the offices resulting in significant savings on the costs of delivering multiple individual services.
